Western Sydney Meetings Fund - National

Eligibility Criteria

Be a National association meeting or a National corporate meeting, with at least 40% originating from interstate and/or international destinations.

Attract a minimum of 300 in-person delegates.

Run for a minimum of two conference days, with at least six hours of programmed content each day.

Will be held between 1 January 2027 and 31 December 2028.

Hosted in Western Sydney, at a venue located within an eligible Western Sydney* Local Government Area.

At the time of application, the event must be at bidding stage – confirmed Western Sydney events are not eligible.

Be able to confirm Western Sydney as host destination by 31 December 2026.

Western Sydney* means the following Local Government areas including Blacktown, Blue Mountains, Camden, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, Parramatta, Penrith, The Hills Shire and Wollondilly.

Expression of Interest Close Date and Next Steps
Expressions of Interest will close at 5:00 pm (AEST) on Friday, 12 June 2026. Applicants who are successful in securing funding will be notified via email in the week commencing 29 June 2026. The Western Sydney Meetings Fund is a competitive program. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee funding. BESydney retains sole discretion in selecting successful applicants.
Eligible applications are assessed and ranked, considering factors such as: economic contribution to Western Sydney and NSW, alignment with NSW Government priorities, potential to attract future events and broader benefits to the State. BESydney retains sole discretion in selecting successful applicants.
